Uyanga Mishigdorj holds a Bachelor's degree in Russian Language and Literature Studies from the University of Lomonosov in Moscow, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature from the Institute of Foreign Languages in Ulaanbaatar. She further holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Visual Communications from Brown College, USA. She moved on to the corporate sector in 1994, initially working for GTZ, the German Technical Assistance Organization with activities in Mongolia. She went on to work in the United States for eight years, in various functions primarily related to machine operations and operations management within the printing and manufacturing industries, specializing in workflow order management, productivity enhancement and quality control. She was recruited to join Central Asian Cement in early 2008.
